ABOUT MIX IT UP
Welcome, my name is Angie and I am the founder of Mix It Up – Live life your way.
Throughout my career I have had the opportunity of working alongside thousands of individuals within the disability,
mental health, ageing and memory loss sectors for over 28 years. These individuals are often socially isolated or excluded
from society. This journey has allowed me to open new doors and opportunities for those who experience a variety of
unique challenges and situations. Many of these individuals have struggled to access social support services that meet their needs in a way that they desire.
Over many years, I have discovered and learned that engaging and developing a sense of purpose within all individuals, allows the opportunity for those to flourish, grow, build self-worth and resilience which is essential to live a full life.
This has driven me to establish Mix It Up – Live life your way where participants are at the centre of all levels of service provision. I believe it is essential that people are given choice and are the decision maker’s in their own life. I am passionate about giving everyone the opportunity to live their life in a way that they desire.
It is my own personal core value that everyone should be treated with respect and dignity no matter what their unique situation is by establishing strong, trusting working relationships with others over time. Allowing people, the opportunity to build self-confidence, take control and actively participate in their life with a sense of purpose.
Mix It Up – Live life your way offers people the opportunity and support to participate in their interests, activities and passions which assist them to keep well, remain active, whilst giving their friends and family the opportunity to recharge.
