Assistance with Daily Life is about supporting daily living needs to live more independently at home and in the community.​

Assistance with Daily Life is a separate support that falls under the Core Supports budget.
​Tasks that Mix It Up – Live life your way can assist you with:

Booking and attending appointments

Changing your bed linen

Laundry Assistance
-
Standby showering assistance
-
Dressing/ changing clothes
-
Brushing you hair
-
Shopping
-
Planning and cooking a meal
-
Support to develop skills for greater independence

Support planning for daily activities
-
Using public transport
-
Mentoring
-
Develop skills in information technology – eg remote controls and apps
-
Letter reading and writing

Things to consider
-
Medication management – we are unable to administer medications
-
Personal care must be managed by the participant – we can provide stand by assist, if required
-
We are unable to physically lift people
-
We do NOT provide services to people under the influence of non-prescription drugs or alcohol
